For as long as air has moved, it has made sound. Pressure Wave Studios exists to ensure that this continues — professionally, originally, and at considerable volume.
Sound is pressure, moving through air, arriving somewhere it wasn't necessarily invited. We believe that is beautiful. Our studio produces original audio from first capture to final master — with a particular devotion to the frequencies other studios overlook, underestimate, or actively avoid.
Every sound in our catalog is captured in-house, by our own personnel, at no small personal cost. No stock libraries. No licensing entanglements. Just authentic source material, performed with conviction and, where necessary, a moment of quiet reflection afterward.
Cleanup, enhancement, and arrangement engineered for the small speaker. Our masters are tuned to cut through a crowded room — a design objective our engineers pursue with a seriousness the material does not strictly require.
We package our work into audio experiences for iOS, including ringtones and notification sounds, so that our catalog may interrupt meetings, funerals, and quiet train cars the world over.
Some audio companies chase the sublime. We chase the honest. The sounds that make a room go quiet, and then very loud. The low-frequency emissions that connect all of humanity across every language, every culture, and every load-bearing chair.
We maintain a strict originality standard: everything we publish is composed, performed, and produced by the studio. Legally, this keeps our catalog unencumbered. Artistically, it is a point of pride. Nobody else would make these sounds. Nobody else has offered.
“I heard it from the other room and simply had to know more.”
“Unmistakable.”
“We are formally asking that this stop.”
A mobile audio experience of uncommon candor, currently in development for iPhone. Details will be announced when the moment — like our material — cannot be held any longer.
